Code of Conduct
Stepping into a Pluto Station event means becoming part of something bigger than the night itself – a space built on respect, care, and curiosity about one another. We want you to feel safe and seen here, whether it's your first time or your fiftieth. Discrimination, oppression, and violence have no place with us; what does have a place is open dialogue, solidarity, and a willingness to look out for each other.
It applies to everyone in our community: visitors, members, artists, and volunteers.
Consent & Respect
- Consent is key – always ask, never assume. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- Heavily intoxicated people cannot consent to sexual acts.
- Respect everyone's identity – ask for pronouns, and be mindful of different cultural and social backgrounds.
- Be aware of your impact – take up space thoughtfully and respect others' boundaries.
On the Dance Floor
- Feel the room and consider how you influence it.
- The dance floor is for dancing – avoid loud conversations or using your phone during live performances and DJ sets.
- Take care of yourself and each other, and consume responsibly.
Zero Tolerance for Discrimination & Violence
There is no place here for:
- Racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, queerphobia, ageism, classism, hate symbols, or any form of discrimination.
- Psychological or physical violence, threats, or harassment.
Anyone who violates these guidelines may be confronted and/or asked to leave the event, to ensure everyone's safety.
Collective Responsibility
- Listen & learn – if you receive feedback, reflect rather than react defensively.
- Be proactive – if you see someone in distress, offer help and contact a board member or the person responsible on site.
- Foster a culture of care – help create a welcoming environment for everyone.
